Technical Requirements

• For single chocks: the net area of the opening shall be no less than 650 cm², and the minimum tensile load-bearing capacity shall be 45.36 tons.
• For double chocks: the net area of the opening shall be no less than 900 cm², and the minimum tensile load-bearing capacity shall be 64.00 tons.

Materials

Panama chocks are generally made of cast steel conforming to Specification A27/A27M, Grade 60-30. The castings shall be smooth and fine-grained, free from defects such as cracks, hot tears and blowholes that may affect the final service performance.
